For those of you who read our blog, it’ll not come as a surprise when it comes to our summervacation destination. Yes, yet again; Beautiful Denmark.
We asked Yoram where he wanted to go this year, and he wanted to go to the same place as last year. We didn’t have a problem with that at all!
I’d been checking out the weather forecast and it said it was going to rain the whole week we’d be there. So I packed jeans, longsleeves, sweaters, raincoates and 1 (just 1!) pair of shorts for the kids. You’ll never believe it; it has been the most sunny and warm week we’ve ever had in Denmark! We went to the beach twice, same with the pool, visited some cities and one museum on the one rainy morning we had (which made me glad, ’cause now the could finally wear the jeans and longsleeves I packed!).
We went to Borsmoso, a beach where you can drive your car on to the beach and sit, play, tan next to it. (Oh, by the way, we drove to Denmark in our new ‘European Compact’ car (what’s that movie called, with those newly-weds honeymooning in Europe and every single time get stuck with a ‘European Compact’ rental car, which hardly can hold their luggage? It was hilarious, but ok, getting back to Denmark now…). So that white car in the picture is our new Hyundai i10.
We went to Esbjerg to see the ‘Mennesket ved Havet’ – Men at Sea. It’s a sculpture of four men overlooking the North Sea and they’re huge!
On our rainy day we went to Museet Danmarks Brandbiller (Firetruck museum). It also had an exhibition on army trucks.

We also had fun playing around the house. Hide and go seek, playing on the swings…

Yoram went fishing and caught 4(!) fishies in about an hour
And they also bought vikings-hats so that they can show off they’re tough dudes!

We had a wonderful time and hopefully we’ll get to go to Denmark again very soon!
